We have made it through monthly Poet’s Know it, for over a year now. The first Wednesday of each month we are live on Facebook, CAM Erie at 5:30 pm EST. I also produce Never Quit Hers where I interview women over 60 and sometimes into their 70s who are still creating, moving and shaking.
Lastly Poetry, Prose, and Personalities allows me to interview, or video tape local poetry readings, and artistic endeavors.
March was the 13 the WOW Women of Word with a few Man Made Words. It was held at Basement Transmissions.
2026 WOW will move to its new home. Gannon University as part of their Speakers Series and will be held in Shuster Theater. We are very excited and honored to be there in such a beautiful and historic place.
In April I was instrumental and giving out hundreds of poetry scrolls for Poem in Your Pocket Day. I was also part of a panel of 12 poets to participate in Spring And All, at the Blasco Library in the Hirt Auditorium. We each read a spring poem as a tribute to a past poet, and then two of our own. It was fun.
May 31 brings about a new version of an older event of mine. I call it Family Focus Day. We will be at Messiah Lutheran Church in Wesleyville, Pa. Our focus is in helping families keep their youth busy with healthy activities over the summer. We have confirmed over 40 vendors, artists, youth groups, crafters, career opportunities, as well as A Waffle Miracle food truck, and LZ Barista for yummy coffee drinks.
There is a free raffle ticket for every adult, and a table full of everyday necessities to choose from. If you live in the area, I invite you to come out and join us from 2-5 on May 31.
Well that is all for now. I will get back here more often.
