Not normally a reader of romance novels I found myself sitting down with Check Mates. I immediately cheered Karle on for her brave way of catching Cheating Chuck in the act. The story unfolds in a very believable way. I wanted Karle and Angelo to be together. The steam kept rising. I needed to know and kept turning pages. There was never a dull moment.
