I have been asked why I continue to do free poetry workshops when sometimes turn out is low. Today I received the conformation, that what I do matters.
A birthday notification came up on Facebook for a student from 4 or 5 years ago. I said; Happy Birthday Poet.
His response; Aw thank you you are one of the reasons I still write when I can 
I am not using his name, some will know who I am speaking about.
That, is enough. One person touched and still writing when possible. I also have free senior poetry workshops and have had responses like; I helped them put fun back in their day.
