100 Thousand Poets for Change

Erie Blues and Jazz Fest

This was year three for us to have 100 Thousand at the Blues and Jazz. Last Year the festival took a hiatus during change of leadership. 2024 the festival came back full throttle. I had made contact and secured our spot at the 2024 festival, but became so ill, I had to hand the reins over to my dear friend Cathi GG Mitchell.

She took all my notes and stepped in last minute. By all accounts she did terrific. I have pictures to show all the fun had. I will include those below.

The 100 Thousand Poets for Change movement means a lot to me and is now world wide and spread out over the calendar.

Here in Erie Pa, on September 28th we are putting on, in conjunction with Werner Book’s, a Read a Poem to a child Day. Which is a part of 100 Thousand Poet’s For Change.

I hope you enjoyed reading about this amazing world wide event and how little ole Erie, PA has joined forces to use poetry for good and healing.
