Martin Luther King Jr.

HE HAD A DREAM

He was tall

in a huge hearted way

His strength could be

compared to a willow in high winds

Bending, not breaking

to the will of the wrong

He mounted his faith

like a white steed

indeed giving him

reservoirs

of fear facing integrity

He stood steadfast

He got past so many

and opened the eyes

of throngs

who sang his song

“I have a dream”,

It was dreamt by so many

Any who felt otherwise

are to be despised

Not with weapons

only words and love can change a heart

That was his wish

A fresh start

where we all get along

where we can all recite his song,

“I HAVE A DREAM”
